I’m a huge fan of meditating. When I learned to meditate through one of Oprah and Deepak’s meditation challenges, it changed my life. No, really! Literally I found myself leading a more purposeful, centered soulful life. And it definitely all started when I began meditating on a regular basis. I try to meditate at least once a day. But it usually ends up being more like three to four times a week at best. The information in this post came to me during one of my meditations. My best friend asked me one day to meditate on the question, “What does meditation do?” and this is what was received.

“Meditation aligns you with your true spiritual self. With the part of you directly linked to God. We are all a spark of His being and divinely created. Meditation is a portal to who your spirit is outside of our body. You are becoming quiet and honoring your soul/spirit and ultimately God – that is what meditation is and does. You set the intention and your spirit and soul respond. It can be to honor and align with God and your mission on Earth. It can be to grow spiritually. It can be to quiet and calm your brain for optimum health. It’s up to YOUR intention. What’s in your heart at the time gets magnified when you meditation on it.”
